Joseph Harris grew up in a Word of Faith church. Who is Mr. Harris? The Food Network crowned him Best Home Cook in America, and like myself, he is a partner with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. This article sheds light on Joseph's success along with the benefits of growing up in faith. If you are living in fear, discouraged, or lack a sense of direction- pay attention. You can advance too.
The Benefits
You learn to hear God’s voice.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” (John 10:27). Being able to distinguish the voice of God is crucial! In fact, it could mean the difference between life and death or success and failure. Do you know how to hear God’s voice for yourself?
Tuning into God propelled Joseph Harris into prosperity. However, it began with knowing how to recognize His voice. Supposing that he misunderstood the message (leave your job) or disobeyed the instructions (remember your cooking abilities) he would have missed God's best.
All in all, God led him to a wealthy place. Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy god which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go (Isaiah 48:17).
Even so, how do you gain awareness? The first step is to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus. Spend quiet time getting to know him. Read the Word. Pray and listen. Remain obedient. Moreover, expect to hear. I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently shall find me (Proverbs 8:17).
You discover the significance of meditating on the Word.
My son attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:20-23).
When Joseph was competing on the Food Network's All Star Academy, he meditated on scriptures as well as what God placed in his heart. Each time he hit what seemed to be a brick wall, the answer came in the form of a vision.
In addition, God directed him to study how wealthy people handle money. So, after winning the $50,000.00 prize, Harris sowed, saved, and spent.
You learn vital lessons sooner than later.
Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble (Proverbs 3:23). Because Mr. Harris knew the fundamentals of faith and sought God continuously, he turned to the Word instead of becoming overwhelmed. Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
Jesus can develop your faith too.
Although I was raised in the church, I lacked knowledge about faith. Since then, however, I developed strong faith. My trust is in God to see me through whatever. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; (Hebrews 12:2).
Regardless of your age or how you started, you can grow in faith. Reap the benefits!

Receive Jesus as your Savior Today!
“Jesus, I ask you to come into my life today, and to forgive me for anything that I have done that was not good. I believe that you died for me and that you will forgive me when I do wrong things. I love you, and accept you as the Lord of my life. Take my life and do something with it. In Jesus’s Name Amen.”
