And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty-fold, some sixty, and some an hundred (Mark 4:20).

Jesse Duplantis taught a prolific message on sowing and reaping. All in all, the teaching stirred my faith. If your faith requires shaking click this link:
Overflowing with excitement, I was moved to give an offering. Moreover, I dialed the number before the sermon ended. Deep down inside, I knew that others would benefit - Jesse gave insight on a topic that boggles many believers, and his humor will have you busting at the seams.
So, I determined to sow $50.00 into Jesse Duplantis Ministries (JDM). With both eyes glued to the television and my right ear glued to the telephone receiver, I waited for the transaction to clear. Although the amount was unavailable, I would not hang up the phone without sowing something. In any event, I sowed $5.00.
Two days later, I attended a meeting at Cleveland State University. When the session ended, I made a beeline to Multicultural Affairs to say hello to friends. The director walked in as I sat talking with his assistant. Our paths had not crossed in several years.
Out of nowhere, Dr. Williams asked me to speak at an upcoming event. He offered me $500.00. And, I accepted.
The aha moment came a few days later. While reading the Bible my mind drifted to Brother Jesse's sermon. I pondered what occurred.
In short, God is faithful to his Word. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
Within two days of sowing $5.00 into JDM, my harvest manifested as an opportunity to speak for $500.00.
Based on what I learned, here are a few suggestions:
Give when you have been blessed by one of God's messengers.
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap (Galatians 6:6-7).
Sow into good ground.
But he that received seed into the ground is he that heareth the word and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty (Matthew 13:23).
Give with a cheerful heart.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
