This post offers seven tips on how to empower youth. Aside from edifying them, you are guaranteed to edify yourself.

7 Tips

  • Speak life.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13, King James Version)

Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (I John 4:4, King James Version)

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: (Psalm 138:8, King James Version)

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Hebrews 11:3, King James Version)

  • Use your faith.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (Mark 11:22, King James Version)

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. (Romans 12:3, King James Version)

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (I John 5:4, King James Version)

  • Pray.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16, King James Version)

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions hat we desired of him. (I John 5:14-15, King James Version)

  • Build on strengths.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; (Psalm 139:14, King James Version)

For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10, King James Version)

  • Seek wisdom.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7, King James Version)

But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it. But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. (James 1:5-6, New American Bible)

  • Practice self-control.

Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. (James 1:19, New American Bible)

  • Give thanks for progress.

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Ephesians 5:20, King James Version)

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. (Psalm 95:2, King James Version)
